GAUA -GIJ HOLDS SWEARING-IN CEREMONY FOR NEW EXECUTIVES

The GIJ Chapter of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) has sworn into office newly elected executives for the Association at the Auditorium of the Dzorwulu Campus of the Institute. 

The newly sworn in executives include, Mr. Ernest Afachao, President, Mr. Augustine Kwaku Boahen, Vice President, Ms. Faustina Barfi, Secretary, Mrs. Harriet Karikari, Treasurer, Ms. Benedicta Nyame, Organizing Secretary, Ms. Stella Abrokwa, Editor and Ms. Brigitte Ampah, Assistant Secretary. They were sworn into office by Mr. Felix Botah, Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs.

The President, Mr. Ernest Afachao, who spoke on behalf of the new executives was full of praise for the outgone executive committee. He made special mention of the sacrifices they made to the detriment of their social and family lives as they had to travel across the country attending to the Association’s business. He assured members of the Association of his team’s preparedness for the task ahead. “We are ready to get to work immediately and push towards attainment of our goals as an Association” he said.  

The immediate past President, Mr. Kwame Ofosu Obeng said the association during his tenure attended several National Executive Meetings where they successfully pursued an improvement in the working conditions of members. He expressed his belief that the newly sworn in executives will work in a similar direction to ensure the comfort of members.

Citations were presented to all outgone executives.
