Elearnity Seminar launched in GIJ
As eLearning fast becomes the learning pedagogy of the future, the Estylo Club was officially outdoored on the campus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism to augment the studying of advertising online.
Addressing participants at the seminar themed “Closing the digital Divide through eLearning”, a senior lecturer of the Institute who doubles as the main brain behind the eLearning community on campus, Yaw Odame Gyau emphasized the need for elearning tools to be integrated into main stream education in tertiary communication universities.
“Estylo will be the ELearning club on campus. Elearnity are the seminars we will be organizing periodically. Elad is our working hub where advertising and communication courses will be taught,” Yaw Gyau who conveys the brand name “Mr. Elad” explained.
“With our Smart models, we will use Apps to solve advertising problems the smart way,” he added.
Amongst resource persons at the seminar were Pro-Vice for Lucas College, Dr. Hilla Addo; a senior lecturer and H.O.D. of ICT at Accra Technical University, Sylvester Hatsu; a representative from Google Ghana and co-founder of Wineloya Digital Advertising, Nana Oppong Mensah; and some members of staff of the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
